  • English proficiency – higher scores in IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, OET, or Cambridge tests earn more points.
  • Work experience – both Australian and overseas employment in your nominated occupation.
  • Educational qualifications – bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degrees earn higher points.
  • Marital status & partner skills – if your partner meets certain criteria, their skills can contribute points.
